NEW TECHNOLOGY IN LAPTOP
What's the ordinary laptop buyer to do?
What you really have to keep in mind are the outcomes
of all this new technology. Basically, these new
technologies have made laptops smaller, faster and more
powerful. With every new improvement the laptop is closing
the gap between its main rival -- the desktop computer.
Notebook computers are now out-selling desktops for
the first time in history. Laptops are replacing the
old desktop computer, whose days may just be numbered.
It won't be long before laptops are also out-performing
them as well.
Some major computer makers are taking note of this
trend towards more powerful, smaller computers.
Even the desktop computer is morphing! Just look at
the sleek design of the new Apple iMac G5, gone is the
bulky tower, in its place is a well designed desktop
computer that's almost a laptop!
For the ordinary computer user keeping abreast of
all these new technologies and inventions can be a
major chore if you're considering buying a laptop
in the next little while. As you approach the smiling
salesperson in your favorite tech store, here's a
few bits of new notebook technology you might want
to have in your possession so you won't look like a
complete neophyte. Hey, where technology is concerned,
we have all been there, done that.
In order for you to tech-proof your next laptop
purchase, here's a quick run down of some recent
Notebook Developments:
Sonoma Chipset
The new Sonoma Platform, Intel's next-generation Centrino
Chipset is already on the market. Members of the Sonoma
club are growing daily - Sony, IBM/Lenovo, BenQ, Dell,
Samsung, Acer, and Toshiba... another 80 or 90
'Sonoma-endowed' products will be released very shortly.
No doubt, it will become the Platform standard for many
high-end notebooks. Actually, it won't make or mean that
much difference to the ordinary Joe/Jane who just want a
notebook or laptop for web surfing, word processing and
e-mail. Notebooks with the Sonoma Platform will be just
a little bit faster and have a little better battery life.
But for Mobile Professionals and Notebook Fanatics (they
do exist)... there's a lot of good things delivered or
capable of being delivered with this new Centrino Chipset.
First, wireless connections will be easier with the integrated
tri-mode 802.11a/b/g, already dubbed by some as the
'wireless trinity'! This will make it easier to stay
connected no matter where you are.
Improved performance will be experienced because the
new Pentium M's have a 533MHz frontside bus, supported
with up to 2GB of DDR2 DRAM, Serial ATA Hard Drive, and
PCI Express, plus improved integrated graphics, including
Intel's Hi-Def Audio. All are possible with the Sonoma
Platform.
PCI Express
PCI(Peripheral Component Interconnect) Express is a new
standard for expansion cards that comes in different
versions. Presently, we have the x16 and x1 lanes, which
will be followed by x4 and x8 versions. It offers increased
bandwidth for example, x1 lane offers 500MB/sec instead of
just 133MB/sec for PCI.
All computers, including laptops have different buses,
(collection of wires) that transmit data from one component
to another.
Of course, in an ideal world, all the data in your computer
should move thru just one BUS - however, most experts agree
it's not likely to happen unless we start over and build a
computer system from scratch. For now we have to rely on
different internal buses to move the data around, the
PCI Express is a great improvement and will make your
laptop faster.
Graphics Card
These are always improving. A Graphics Card handles the
graphics or visuals on your notebook. If 3D graphics and
games is a pastime, you will want to buy the highest
quality system. Some of the higher end products are:
ATi Mobility Radeon 9800, X800, and FireGL V3200 or
Intel's Graphics Media Accelerator 900.
If you can, go with a NVIDIA GeForce Go 6800 graphics
card or for the real game diehards - wait for the debut
of NVIDIA GeForce Go 7300 that features NVIDIA's TurboCache
technology.
Gamers will be aware of NVIDIA SLI technology, ATI's
CrossFire and Hyperthreading. All new stuff that's
bringing the gaming experience up to a higher level of
perfection that would even be worthy of a Spielberg or
a Lucas Production. Not really, but it's getting there.
64 Bit Laptops
Most systems today run on the 32 Bit System. Keep in mind,
the major difference between a 32-bit and a 64-bit system
is the amount of memory that they support. Around 4 GB for
32-bit and 8 GB and up for the 64-bit. Right now -- Intel,
Apple, and AMD all offer 64-bit systems.
Do you need all this memory? No, for the average laptop
user it amounts to overkill. However, if you're interested
in gaming, desktop publishing, or the graphic arts you will
benefit from 64-bit technology.
Dual Core Notebooks
Two is better than one!
Dual core laptops are now on the market. The gaming industry
is the starting point for many of these advanced systems.
For example, the British Laptop maker Rockdirect now produces
Xtreme 64, a gaming laptop with AMD's new dual core Athlon 64
X2 processor. This same laptop also sports the ATI Mobility
Radeon X800 XT graphics card that features 16 pixel pipelines,
an industry first for notebooks.
NEW TECNOLOGY IN LAPTOP
The major producers of dual-core chips are Intel and AMD.
The Intel dual-core processor has hyperthreading (HT), the
two cores are divided into four virtual CPU units. Is all this
needed? Again, if you're into heavy graphics or gaming, it's
something you should consider and explore further.
Built-in Cellular Modem
Most high-end laptops now come with an integrated
tri-mode 802.11a/b/g for wireless WI-FI connections.
Some recent models, like the Sony's New Ultra-Portable
VAIO VGN-T350P, are raising the bar; it has the world's
first 'Built-in Cellular Modem'. You can use your cell phone
to connect to the Internet. This may be a great advantage
since finding a 'Hot Spot' in some parts of the world can
still be difficult.
The Avant-Garde: LumiLED Display
Be on the look-out for LED monitors in the near future.
The brightness, colors and backlighting technology in LED
monitors will be quite different from LCD displays.
The Forerunner in this field is NEC's SpectraView LumiLED,
and will offer a much better image and color.
Keep your eyes peeled.

NEWTECHNOLOGYFORDIABETES
NEW TECHNOLOGY FOR DIABETES
Childhood Diabetes is very different from the Adult Diabetes. The morbidity is the damage of the pancreas islet β cells which cause a decrease of the secretion of the insulin. When 90% pancreas islet β cells are damaged, there will appear some clinic symptoms. Usually the onset of the Childhood Diabetes is quick and the Diabetic symptoms will appear suddenly, so most of the parents can recall the starting date of symptoms.
The symptoms of the Childhood Diabetes are typical. 100% patients will have polydipsia (extremely thirsty), diuresis (frequent urination), and increased enuresis nocturna, thirsty at night. Polyphagia is another typical symptom of the childhood Diabetes.
However, some children may not have the symptom of polyphagia, and they mainly will manifest marasmus (become thin)and fatigue.
Childhood Diabetes is mainly Type 1 Diabetes. When the disease diagnosed, in most cases the pancreas islet β cells have already been severely damaged. Therefore, the patients should have insulin treatment immediately as it is diagnosed to sustain the patient's life. Insulin treatment is the fundamental treatment in treating Childhood Diabetes and it should be maintained for a life time. Meanwhile, the adjuvant therapies also include dietotherapy, kinesitherapy and psychotherapy so as to achieve a better therapeutic effect.
Stem Cell transplant for Diabetes in children: Stem cells can start the treatment from repairing the islet cells and the genes which control the islet cells. The genes here are susceptibility genes. As long as the susceptibility genes are well repaired, the islet cells can recover. Moreover, the stem cells can also differentiate into islet cells and gradually recover the functions of pancreas.
Pancreas functions are recovered, then they will secrete healthy insulin which can reduce the blood glucose to the normal level of the patients. Therefore stem cell transplant is an effective therapy to treat Diabetes.

NEWTECHNOLOGIES
NEW TECHNOLOGIES IN COMPANIES
To centralize the branch network of workers in remote areas to a central corporate unit, companies are opting for VoIP solution. The voice over IP technology enables the telephone calls made on
ordinary PSTN system to be converted on IP network. These VoIP phones make use of protocols like SIP- session initiation protocol. SCCP- skinny client control protocol and most commonly applied
proprietary protocol used by 'Skype'. The benefits of using VoIP phone over analog phone are that it has features like saving email ids, and other contact details. Through VoIP phones companies are
increasing revenues by lowering up-front cost, reduce operational expenditure and increase efficiencies by employee productivity.
For low cost way of automated system of time and attendance tracking of employees, scheduling labors working hours and managing supply chain management in an automated manner Smart bar code
readers are used. The bar code technology has advanced to much faster process. It also allows quick scan of any object without pressing any button on the bar code. Companies with these can
display product information, reviews, pricing, procurement of stock etc. Thus from employee attendance to inventory management smart bar code readers help the companies in automating the
business operations and increases its accuracy.
Technology has surrounded company's day to day operations and had made them competitive in the international market. Many wireless gadgets have created convenience for companies and make
possible for them to store tinniest possible information that might be useful in their future needs. With these wireless gadgets it's possible for companies to produce most accurate data and increases
company's level of efficiency. With growing advantages of wireless technology I.T. companies are struggling to come up with latest wireless gadget configured with Wi-Fi technology and other
networking devices that gives big hit to the technical industry.
There are portable laptops which companies can get advantage of because of its size and portability. There are portable DVDs which are essential for entertainment businesses, other businesses for
conference and seminars and are a major source of cost effectiveness. There are many mobile phone devices with hi-tech features like Wi-Fi, camera, video conferencing, file manager, and various
tools and application which help the companies in their business functions and are cost effective means of getting updated with the global environment as well as with their stake holders.
Technological innovations taken in any form whether wireless or robotic gadgets have now become the necessity of today's business environment. No business can imagine to succeed without
grasping a firm hold on technological advance and continual upgrading with time. With technically sound it's also important for firms to train their staff to get most out of it.

discovering inexpensive laptop computers
In this day and age workers are often found spending time outside of the office rather than in it. Whether traveling for business or spending time enjoying the company of friends and family, it is no longer required to be in the office. However, most employees do feel the need to make themselves available whenever they are needed. Additionally, for easy access to documents without spending time and effort lugging a heavy, pricey laptop around people are discovering that inexpensive laptop computers are available to meet their needs. These inexpensive laptops offer similar capabilities to the traditional netbook without costing an inordinate amount.
The computer writing tablet may be the most ideal PC to meet this market segment's needs. A computer writing tablet, which is similar to both a laptop and tablet PC, offers touch screen capabilities with a quick folding screen that covers the keyboard, supports drawing, and eliminates the need for the keypad. These touchscreen devices are small, portable, and readily affordable.
These new, touchscreen computers are starting to become available to the laymen. As these laptop computers continue to reside in the market, they continue to become more easily accessible and are being upgraded to have similar capabilities as other more traditional devices. Just read the specs for some of these new touchscreen laptops. One such example, the Eee PC, is a portable computer. This computer has very few noticeable differences from the common netbook. With similar screen sizes, processing capabilities, RAM, and drive space these computers are very similar to the netbook. However, the new foldable touchscreen makes these computers stand out from the netbook.
For users familiar with the touchscreens offered by the iPhone or iPod Touch, the Eee PC requires some time to get used to the different style screen. The screen is more resistant, but, after spending some time using this device users will discover that they enjoy the experience and are able to easily perform any computing task required of them while continuing to maintain mobility.
Regardless of your preference, whether you wish you are searching for a netbook or you wish to purchase a computer that more closely resembles a writing tablet, there are many viable options available. The Archos 9 is a tablet PC that offers the same feature set as a tablet PC with only a little less power than a netbook. This device has an 8.9" LED monitor and substantial processing power, at 1.2GHz, offering capabilities very similar to netbooks. The Archos 9 is controlled with a stylus and has side buttons which are used like a mouse, making this a very easy-to-use, user-friendly computer. However, with only a 60GB hard drive it falls short of industry standards. Despite this gap, the 5 hours of battery life and a VGA output allow this tablet PC to connect with other devices, offering significant capabilities above and beyond what comes standard with the netbook.
